The result of IOE Entrance Exam 2074/2017 has already been published. So, admission process has started. Before going through admission details, one should know few things: There are 4 IOE Constituent Engineering Campuses namely Pulchowk Campus, Thapathali Campus, Eastern Region Campus (Dharan), Western Region Campus (WRC-Pokhara). Also, there are 10 private engineering colleges in Kathmandu which follow same course of IOE. So, the students who have passed IOE Entrance Exam has two choice.
Admission Procedure for all Engineering Colleges(Constituent as well as Affiliated)
In the academic year(2017/2074), the admission process is controlled by central admission board for both constituent campuses and affiliated colleges.
- Applicants(who have passed in IOE Entrance Result) must submit their application for admission to the college of interest from respective colleges’ website. The link for submission of online form will be available on Unified Admission System website(admission.ioe.edu.np) within 2074-04-31.
- The online application form will be available on respective colleges’ website from 2074-04-32, 10 am to 2074-05-03, 5 pm
- While submitting the form, one needs to specify the order of priority of the faculties of engineering (computer, electronics, civil, electrical, mechanical etc.).
- Aptitude test for B. Arch applicants, publication of applicants along with first admission list: 2074-05-04 to 06 (10am to 5pm)
- Publication of final list of first admission on Central Admission Portal: 2074-05-07 (2pm to 5pm)
- Admission of students from first admission list: 2074-05-08 to 2074-05-10 (10am to 5pm)

These 4 TU affiliated engineering colleges provides 1536 seats for various streams. Know about fee structure for these colleges from Fee Structure for BE, B. Arch in IOE Constituent Engineering Colleges.
IOE Affiliated Private Engineering Colleges
All of the IOE affiliated private engineering colleges are located in different parts of Kathmandu valley. In total for various streams, they provide 2304 seats for those who have passed the IOE Entrance Exam. The fee structure is not same for all of the colleges but its said to be in range of around 7-9 lakhs.

Confusion: I have got * rank, will I get admission on A faculty in B Engineering Colleges?
There is no hard and fast rule for that. Suppose if you got rank of 200 and interested in Pulchowk Campus for studying Computer Engineering. There is a total of 48 seats on Computer Engineering (24 regular + 24 full fee). If the other applicants of higher ranking interested on same faculty counts 48, then you won’t be able to get admission on Pulchowk Campus. But there might be less number of students interested in ERC or WRC in same stream where you can get admission. So, its not fixed but you can apply for admission through online form setting priority of the faculty you are more interested in.
